More Figure Studies

#4B pencil on drawing paper 36x48 cm

This drawing represents four 15 minute poses of the same model.

The last time I posted some figures drawings, I had just found a figure drawing group and was very excited. Now, I am even happier because my post of the drawings led someone from Tel Aviv to let me know there is a figure drawing group only a short bus ride or quick bike ride from my home in Tel Aviv!  The other class was a 40 minute drive in heavy rush hour traffic.
And, this Tel Aviv group meets 3 times a week, so I have my choice of morning, afternoon or evening sessions.

Your life drawings remind me of the poses Charles Reid shows with one model and numerous poses on his paper. How nice to have found a class near by. Maybe you will share more life drawings as you do them.

Composing multiple images on a page like this is so difficult. You did a fantastic job! Not to mention what beautiful drawing of each individual pose. Maybe Harriet could fit one of these sessions into her schedule.

Those are very nice drawings. It's great to know there are sketch groups in Israel. If my wife and I ever go back, its good to know we can do some figure drawing and meet some of the Tel Aviv artists.

Hi Carol
Outstanding sketches.
I too have attended life sessions again. It is such good discipline.
I wish I could produce quality like this though.

Carol, these have a really old masters feel to them - so monumental and yet a sensual -- each could stand alone but together -- wow! My goodness, what talent you have!

Wow what beautiful drawings on your blog. I was searching for drawing classes in Tel Aviv on google and came across your blog. Do you perhaps know of a place in Tel Aviv where they have good drawing classes (for an absolute beginner)?

Beautiful drawing. It is difficult drawing a model in different positions and you have done this very well!!!
