Maariv

(click to big)

Transparent watercolor

22x22cm (approx 8.5"x8.5")

I did manage to find time to paint, after all. I used 3 colors (Colbalt Blue, Permanent Rose and Aureolin Yellow).

I would rather paint people than any other subject and this scene is just absolutely a daily sight here. However, I rarely see an outdoor horizontal surface without a cat or three hanging around. When I first moved here, I was shocked by all the cats. Now I hardly see them.

Thanks again for the challenge, Karin!

As an Israeli I am LOL. We reads "Yediot" not "Maariv".
Love this painting and the idea of having him holding this newspaper.
Well done.

Another really wonderful painting! The colors worked beautifully, and the addition of the cat gives the subject a new dimension.
Can't wait to see what you do next week!
