Onat Meduzot*

(click to big)
Transparent Watercolor 10x10 cm (4"x4")
July is called Onat Meduzot* because our beaches are invaded for the month by thousands of the things. They are creepy and beautiful at the same time.
This little painting was done in response to the challenge for this week of the
#193...Draw a small part of an every day object.
*jellyfish season

I guess you're talking major blobs on the beach and they really must have beautiful colors--I love the composition with your foot and great transparent shadow with wonderful textures! E J Mordasjy

So interesting. Wonderful painting, but I'm not sure what it is. A jellyfish?

Wow I can't believe this blog! You've been doing for a few months but didn't say a word, you sneaky devil....
The pictures are fabulous.
Sorry I didn't recognize the medusa right away, dear.

Had a great time yesterday; it was a privilege to see these pictures in real life. Gorgeous...
I'm a FAN!

Awesome--intriguing, enigmatic; I love the washes and the way you painted the jellyfish. At first sight I thought it was smoke, as in your blogger photo!

This is such an incredibly beautiful, almost mystical painting. Your textures, your sense of composition are brilliant.

the 'Onat Meduzot' is fabulous.
I love the granulation of colors in your shadow. The concept is well executed. Love it!
