Watercolor Women

Transparent watercolor  33 x 42 cm

This is in response to Karin Jurick's DSDF challenge
Friends, I promise, I will not tell people who these women are supposed to be.  I kind of got in over my head (no pun intended) with this one.

Hola, Carol. I'm sure your friends whose likenesses you put here will love it, cause you did a remarkable job. I tried doing blog artists in cartoon style with mine. I got some fairly good, but I blew it on yours. I was working from the thumbnail, and I guess I should have put a camera on your head. I apologize but this one almost got me. Check my blog and WIP and see what I mean.

I really like how sincere your interpretation turned out. Love the colors, composition and the way you handled the paint. Nicely done.

This is my absolute favorite! I like your fresh approach with the use of watercolor. I like your depiction of strong women who all seem to have their own personality and story which I'm sure you're are familiar with. Well done!

Back again to check and see if everybody's still there on your painting. Yup, still there. I finished my blog, and linked this site to your photo.
