I started 2 different pumpkin paintings for Karin's Different Strokes - each one worse than the other. I guess part of the problem is I tried some hot press paper for the first time and the paint just slides on so beautifully, but then I want to keep, you know, adjusting it, and the paper just says no, leave me alone.
I would rather draw from a model. It is fun and soothing and I don't think about anything else while I am doing it.

Hot press can be tricky unless you leave it alone.
